Give Chargles a Chance to Beat Lymphoma

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ariana. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my best friend—my sweet corgi, Chargles.

On 06/05/25, I got the earth-shattering news that Chargles was diagnosed with high-grade lymphoma. It was a shock as he was acting his normal happy self; always chasing the cat of the house (his best friend Ashes), eating anything you put in front of him, and enjoying his outside time regardless of the weather. He is only six years old; it's unfathomable.

I immediately got him into a veterinary oncologist who finished doing his additional cytology test and the x-ray to verify the cancer had not reached any of his other organs. Thankfully, he turned out to have B-cell with no other organs affected. With that good news, he started his chemotherapy (CHOP protocol) on 06/06/25. After his very first chemo treatment, the only sign of slowdown from him was two tired days, and he was back to himself. His lymph nodes have also decreased immensely within his first week, which the oncologist says is an amazing sign.

Chemotherapy is not an affordable thing, and no matter how much we save or try to plan for these types of situations, it doesn't seem to be enough. With the initial vet visits, blood work, cytology test, x-rays, and first round of chemo, my savings were depleted within a week. I applied for CareCredit and borrowed what I can from family and friends, but we can currently only cover up to week three of his treatment. I am applying for every grant he is eligible for, but there are hundreds to thousands of other families also in need, going through the same thing with their fur babies. What we need to raise for Chargles is $15,000. That will cover the remaining chemo treatments, vet visits, supplements, & whatever else he may need during this process.

I have always known I would have a corgi and name him Chargles, and I found him. I can't lose him; he is my best friend and constant companion. He’s got this quirky little personality, and a heart that’s somehow bigger than his tiny legs. Everyone that meets him loves him right off the bat, humans and other animals alike. He is a courageous and strong dog; I know he can get through this. He isn't just a pet; he is a member of the family. We decided pursuing chemotherapy was the best choice as he is young, and the oncologist believes he can reach remission.

Help me stand by Chargles and fight with him.

Every single dollar will go directly toward Chargles’ medical care. If you can give anything at all—even just a few dollars—or simply share this page, it would mean the world to us. Your support could give me more time with the little guy who saved me more times than I can count. Any additional donations we make outside of what his care cost will be donated to other dogs fighting cancer to pass it on and help others if we can.

Chargles is a fighter. He’s still wagging his stubby tail, still going on short walks, and still giving me those looks that say, “We’ve got this.” I just want to make sure he has the chance he deserves to keep fighting.

Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and supporting us.
