Urgent Help Needed: Saving Our 6-Year-Old Calico from Lymphoma
Meet Cece, Our Queen of Cuddles
Our girl, Cece, is the heart of our home. At just six years old, she’s a beautiful calico with a unique, endearing personality: she is incredibly cuddly and friendly to everyone, even strangers who walk through the door. You always know she’s around because she will always come to you to introduce herself as the queen of the house. Her presence is a constant comfort both we and her sister, Heera, rely on.
The Devastating Diagnosis
Everything changed suddenly a few days ago. Cece became unusually lethargic and stopped eating her favorite chicken and dental treats. After a rushed emergency visit and extensive testing, we received some terrifying news: Large Cell Lymphoma.
This is an aggressive form of cancer that requires immediate, intense treatment. Our veterinarian has been clear: without a specialized chemotherapy protocol, her prognosis is a matter of weeks.
Her Fight and Our Hope
We are devastated, but we are not giving up. We have a chance to save her life.
The veterinary oncologists at VCA Animal Hospitals have developed a plan that gives her a strong chance for remission and many more happy, vocal moments with us. However, the costs associated with this urgent, specialized care are overwhelming and have quickly depleted our savings.
Our goal for our fundraiser is to help us put Cece’s treatment plan into action through the following steps:
- Initial Staging and Diagnostics: Confirming the cancer's spread and setting the proper baseline.
- Chemotherapy Protocol: the medications and administration sessions to aggressively combat the lymphoma.
- Supportive Care and Monitoring: Anti-nausea medication, pain management, and required bloodwork throughout the treatment.
Please Help Us Buy Her More Time
We are fighting for our best friend and family member. We are humbly asking for your help to afford this life-saving treatment. Cece is too young, too sweet, and too loved to lose this fight when treatment is available.
Any amount you can contribute will go directly toward her medical bills and give us the hope of bringing her home healthy. Even sharing her story is a tremendous help.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us give our brave little queen a fighting chance. We promise to share frequent updates on her progress and treatment journey.
