Give Cashew a Chance to Run Again

Hi! This is Cashew, our 5-year-old baby GSD/Chihuahua mix. On 2/23, Cashew jumped out of my Jeep as he usually does because he was so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa. Unfortunately, upon his landing, his leg twisted, he yelped, and immediately started limping. We knew it wasn’t good.

The next day, we brought him to the vet for imaging to find out he completely tore his CCL of his left leg and needed surgery. We were prepared for that, making appointments for a surgeon. Then, the next morning, he couldn’t walk at all. He wouldn’t put any weight through his back leg. We were panicked and told to bring him to the ER. We spent hours between 2 different ERs, first told it was neurological, only to find out in the end he had TWO complete CCL tears and meniscus tears and needs 2 TPLO surgeries which is almost $16k. We have a 7-month-old baby, and this is a huge expense, but he’s our baby too, and we have to do the surgeries. He’s the goodest boy, and we are so devastated that he’s going through this. We appreciate any help
