Give Carter the burial he deserves!!!
Hug your babies a little tighter tonight!!
I'm Carter's Aunt Chrystal. I'm hoping we can raise enough funds with your help (through donating, sharing or both) to give this baby the burial and celebration of such an incredibly short, life he deserves! Let me tell you a little about this sweet, amazing little boy.
Carter Byron Polen was born June 11th, 2015 to an indescribably proud Mommy and Daddy. He loved animals! His favorite animal was a cat. He would crawl around on all fours barking or meowing, imitating the animal he chose to be that day. He LOVED his doggy, Foxy! He woke up every morning and would say "good morning foxy" while she kissed every inch of his face with him giggling like the sweet boy he was. He loved motorcycles and going on rides with his daddy. His favorite color was orange. He loved his big sisters and big brothers and adored his Mom and Dad!
Saturday, July 3rd was big sisters birthday and they had plans to have as much fun as their hearts desired! But Carter woke up early that morning feeling incredibly sick! Plans for the fun in the sun had to be put on hold until Carter felt better. Carter rested for the whole day between bathroom trips. Early Sunday morning he woke his mommy up for a trip to the bathroom. He laid back in his bed and said he wanted to go back to sleep, so mommy tucked him in and let him drift into dreamland. Mom and Dad woke up a few hours later and rushed their unresponsive baby to the hospital.
Carter's blood sugar level was at 1500!!! The hospital staff ran all the tests and worked as hard as they could to make Carter better. He showed slight improvement, his sugar went down to just above 1200. Unfortunately, a few hours later, a little after 8:00 on July 4th, Carter peacefully went to paradise in the sky. Mom, dad, sisters, brothers, grandparents, aunt's, uncle's and cousins learned of this sweet boys passing as the county celebrated it's freedom. Fireworks will never be the same.
Carter will never be able to have his first day of school, have sleep overs with his best friend, kiss a girl, go to college, get married or have kids......things most of us have taken for granted. I'm asking, on behalf of his entire family for help giving this precious boy the best celebration of life and the proper burial we can. Mom and dad are devasted, so please help us lessen the burden and pain of burying a child and donate or share or both!
