Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our beloved dog, Carmalita. She’s recently developed several skin tumors, and at least three of them need to be removed as soon as possible. Carmalita has skin cancer, and unfortunately, it has already spread to her lymph nodes. The vet believes that removing these spots can still make a real difference, improving her comfort and possibly slowing the spread.
The good news: our vet told us that with surgery and care, Carmalita could still have 5 to 7 more good years ahead of her. But without treatment, her condition will worsen much faster—and we want to give her every chance at a long, comfortable life.
We had a previous surgery done for her just last year to remove another spot. Sadly, we’re not in a financial position to cover another surgery at this time. It breaks our hearts, because Carmalita means everything to us.
If you don’t know Carmalita, she’s our sweet, resilient girl. Lenny rescued her about six years ago. She was a bait dog used in fighting rings—bred, abused, and had her teeth filed down so she couldn’t defend herself. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s the kindest soul.
Now 9 years old, Carmalita still has so much life in her. She’s full of love, energy, and is gentle with every human she meets. Right now, she’s in some discomfort—but she’s still got that sparkle in her eyes and a tail that never stops wagging. All we want is to give her the peaceful, happy years she’s finally earned.
If you know us, you know how much we love her. We would do absolutely anything for her, and we’re doing everything we can—but we need help.
Every little bit truly helps. Whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing this campaign, it means the world to us—and to Carmalita.
We promise to keep everyone updated every step of the way. We’ll share photos and videos whenever we can so you can see how your support is helping her heal and thrive.
Thank you so much for reading and for caring about our sweet girl.
With love and gratitude,
