Give Carlos Ramirez the Farewell He Deserves
Donation protected
It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of the passing of our father Carlos Ramirez.
Around 11:00am on April 9th 2025 ICE agents detained our Dad outside the Los Angeles Superior Court near Temple Blvd. and Broadway. Without any real sense of due process he was deported to Tijuana, Mexico later that evening. He called and texted us everyday, but Monday April 28th was the last any of us made contact with him.
For two agonizing months we feared for the worst, and hoped for the best. Our mom visited T.J. every week searching for any information that could help locate our Dad.
We created and distributed flyers.
We searched the hospitals, jails, and the morgue.
We reached out via social media and local media for help.
We got his phone records, hired a private investigator, obtained help from the “Todos Somos Erick Carrillo” organization, retraced his steps with his childhood friend….
But nothing.
Then on July 4th, two days after what would have been his 57th birthday, and just 2 days before they were going to throw his body into a potter's grave, we got the call that the DNA for my youngest sister matched an unrecognizable face photo at the morgue. My mother, sister, and I have had to do the unthinkable in finding and identifying my father. Without our mother’s persistence, we would have never found our dad.
Our father passed away on Monday April 28th, 2025 and his body was not discovered until May 5th, 2025. Our dad’s ashes are now home with us, but we need your help giving him the services and burial he deserves. He had a big heart, and he always took care of everybody no matter what, and now we need to take care of him. He was a loyal brother, a loving son, a caring father, a funny grandpa, and my mom’s partner for 40 years.
Any donation big or small, any prayer or other kinds of support will be greatly appreciated during this time.
Thank you for visiting this page and for considering helping honor our Dad.
