At Burnt Tree Primary School, we believe that the most powerful learning happens when children step beyond the classroom and into the world around them. Our pupils are surrounded by incredible opportunities such as museums, sports clubs, local organisations and community partners who are eager to welcome them and enrich their education.

But too often, we have to say no.

Not because the children aren’t excited. Not because the opportunities aren’t there.

But simply because we cannot afford the travel costs.

Each time we turn down a visit, a workshop or a community event, we know a valuable experience is being missed: a spark of curiosity, a new passion, a moment they could remember forever.

This year, we want to change that.

Our aim is to purchase a school minibus so that more children at Burnt Tree can access the rich learning experiences they deserve. A minibus would open doors to more visits, more exploration and more memories without the barrier of expensive transport.

This idea was brought forward with enthusiasm and excitement by our pupils and supported by Miss Gamwell, who believes deeply in giving children every opportunity to grow. The children want this as much as we do, they want to explore, discover, try new things and see more of the world beyond their school gates.

We are determined, together as a community, to make this dream real.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to giving our pupils the freedom to learn, travel and experience more.
