Give Brownie a Second Chance at Life
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Monica Nguyen, and recently, my dog Brownie got into a car accident. Times have been tough with financial issues due to one of my family members struggling mentally from drug abuse.
I've always wanted a dog, and Brownie was brought home at a time by my dad when I thought I wasn't ready to have my first dog. There were several times when my mom didn't approve of bringing him home, yet I still fought to keep him even though I knew it wasn't easy raising a dog for the first time. He's a little over 1 year old and still has a long journey ahead of him.
Surgery is costly due to several fractures, and in this case, he potentially also has a paralyzed leg. The doctor is hoping for the nerve function to return after the surgery, but amputation is a possibility, which is the last option. I know he is a strong boy and will fight to get through this.
My mom wasn't very supportive of this surgery to begin with just because it was expensive and didn't understand that this was a serious matter that medicine on its own can't fix. I felt so alone not knowing what to do and feared asking for help because I don't want to be burdensome. It was pretty rough the first few days when I couldn't eat or sleep properly, trying to research what the best solution was in a short amount of time.
I hope you guys can help me continue this journey of helping Brownie, whether it's through sharing this or donating whatever you can. Thank you.
