I am the mom of Brooke, we call her Brookie, and her younger sister Paige. Brooke has had a rough road since birth surviving a stroke, living with a rare encephalitis, steroid withdrawals, CP, being unable to voice words and more.
However, she never let this stop her.
Brooke is the happiest kid in the room, always wanting to give love and always smiling.
Brooke started to decline physically a couple months ago. During her inpatient stay at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, she suffered an hour long stroke. A couple days later she had a high fever. It's been 7 days and her fever is still ranging from 102 to 104, not eating, not staying awake, seizing, not moving much and in pain. All the doctors are stumped.
We have been in the hospital for 2 weeks and there is not end in sight.
We are quickly running out of babysitting funds for my younger one, I can't afford to keep eating hospital food, I can't go to work because my baby is sick, and I'm losing everything. Any time I'm not with brooke I'm with Paige and my heart is broken.
Not to mention the updates of how much our estimated medical bill has increased.
Any financial assistance is much appreciated and thanked from the bottom of our hearts.
