Katrina wants to give Bristol a Nice Smile and Bright Future

My student Bristol lost her mom over our school break in February and she has been a real trooper since that tragic day, but she now needs our help. Like many kids in the area, Bristol is on Partnership and her dental care has suffered over the years because of the lack of education and resources, provided to those on Partnership, in our community....and now she is in need of major dental surgery.

Bristol is now being raised by her grandmother and they are struggling a little to ensure Bristol gets all she needs. A dental surgeon has been found in Sonoma County that will do all of the work needed and provide the sedation necessary. The surgeon is allowing grandma to make payments for the multiple dental issues, but the bill is still overwhelming and they can use help.

I would like to see Bristol happy and healthy and in order for that to happen she can use all the love and support from those I know, and those that know those I know.

The funds raised will pay for the dental surgery, purchase new and improved oral hygiene supplies for future use, and go beyond to give Bristol a brand new bed of her very own to sleep in and some new bedding to go with.

We often times take for granted the luxuries we have been afforded or worked to obtain in our everyday life; this has never been the case for Bristol. She was raised by a single mom that she had to watch suffer and go through many health challenges for most of her life. Yet through it all she has kept a positive outlook and tried her best to stay focused and on track in life and school. Receiving kindness from strangers will go a long way for Bristol and I believe it can have a profound impact on her future and outlook for her own life.

With her mom gone Bristol has a long and tough road ahead and I want to do my part to ensure she becomes the best adult version of herself possible....and I only have 5 more years to ensure this happens. I can use your help to show her that people are good, people will support one another, and tomorrow can be better than today. I am fortunate enough to have so many healthy, happy, productive, and caring people in my life and I would like to show Bristol that it takes a village and if we choose our village wisely we can overcome and become ANYTHING we put our minds to....this is something that she has not seen an immense amount of in her own life, so showing her through all of your generosity is going to have a HUGE impact on her now and in her future.

Any additional funds raised will be reserved to get Bristol into private vocal lessons, purchase her a new wardrobe, and just allow her to have a little bit of flare, as all 13 year old girls deserve....who knows, maybe I can even have enough to help her get her license in 3 years or start her a College fund or just have savings as a safety net for the future. The sky is the limit and I would like to see her reach the stars!!!
