Bowie has been a part of our family since he was just 10 weeks old. From the very beginning, he’s brought so much joy and love into our lives. He has literally transformed my life and helped me pursue my dreams of learning about animal behavior and training. But he’s also faced more than his fair share of health challenges. Since he was a puppy, Bowie has struggled with ongoing gut pain and discomfort, often going weeks without eating much. On top of that, we recently discovered he suffers from luxating patellas (his kneecaps slip out of place), causing him pain.

As Bowie grew into adolescence, his health issues became more pronounced. He's had big feelings about it. We’ve done everything we can to help him, including getting pet insurance, but last year we maxed out our coverage and his needs this year are well above our limit. Bowie needs an endoscopy to get his tummy feeling better and surgery to repair one of his luxating patellas so he can finally get relief from the pain and start living the happy, active life he deserves. Unfortunately, our insurance will only cover about 25% of the costs for both of these procedures, leaving us with a significant financial burden.
