Give Boots a Forever Home and Healing

This is Boots, a stray cat that has been coming to our college house for over a year now. Coming back from spring break, he was waiting by our front door - severely injured with two open gashes on his backside. It looks like he was viciously attacked by another animal. We gave him some food, and he came into our house. From that moment, we decided we needed to help him and give him a forever home.

Alexandra and I are currently in the process of nursing him back to health. After the first vet appointment, we realized this is going to be a long and tedious process. Boots can only use his arms right now; his back legs are in severe pain from the wounds that punctured his spinal nerve. He is so weak, tired, frail, and scared, but we are hoping that he gets back to his normal self soon!

We would love help fundraising for his vet bills, as they are already far more than expected. Anything helps, and we appreciate it so much!

Update 3/13: He got a few X-rays done, no injuries to his abdomen or spinal bones, has warm pulse and a little bit of feeling in his back paws, however, they are concerned because they don’t have an answer as to why he is acting limp. He is staying at the vet overnight to be monitored. We are going to give him a few more tests but will keep you guys updated, we don’t want to give up on him yet

Update 3/14: We had to make the tough decision to put Boots down this morning. He lost all control of his lower half and was just in so much pain. There was only a slim chance of recovery for this sweet boy and we didn’t want to make him suffer anymore.
