Meet Biscuit! Biscuit was a stray kitty who we took in. We wanted to give lots of love to Biscuit (and his brother, Cheddar). A few days after we brought him into our home, his pupils started to enlarge and change shape. The next morning (Monday), we called the vet to get Biscuit seen ASAP. By that morning, his left eye was so swollen and enlarged that it was bulging out of his face. The doctor who helped us stated that Biscuit has feline herpes. We started him on antibiotics and eye ointment immediately, followed by fluids to get him out of a lethargic state. A few days later, he's back to eating, drinking, and wanting to play. After a week of medicine, we brought Biscuit back to the vet as the swelling in his eyes wasn't going down. We were left with two options: 1.) euthanasia 2.) eye removal surgery. Given that Biscuit is gaining weight, eating, and playing, I've decided to give him a chance at a good life. Unfortunately, the damage to his eyes is permanent, and eye removal surgery is required for both eyes. We are asking our friends and family to help us raise funds for his surgery. Thank you for taking the time and considering helping us out to raise funds for Biscuit's surgery.
