My name is Stacy, and I am trying to raise money on behalf of my dear friend India and her beloved rescue horse, Birdie.

For nearly 10 years, Birdie has been India’s best companion, her spirit animal, and a true survivor. This incredible mare has faced countless challenges with India, from tough days to joyful trail rides, forging a bond like no other. Birdie’s gentle spirit and unwavering strength inspire everyone who knows her, and now she needs our help to keep fighting.

Birdie had always been healthy until three weeks ago when she suffered internal bleeding from a random injury. Thanks to her resilience and veterinary care, she pulled through. But on Tuesday evening, India had to rush her back to the emergency vet for a new, serious issue. The diagnosis was heart wrenching: severe cellulitis in one of her legs. This painful infection threatens her recovery, and it’s heartbreaking to see this brave girl struggle.

Her treatment plan is intensive, including hospitalization, IV fluids, antibiotics, and close monitoring to ensure the infection is controlled and she can heal.

The estimated costs for this care are between $5,000 and $10,000, and with the recent emergency bills, these expenses have overwhelmed India’s finances. I’m aiming to raise $7,500 to cover Birdie’s critical treatment and give her the best chance at recovery.
