A Healing Hand for Beverly Alexander Reed
Donation protected
Hello friends and family,
UPDATE March 15 2024
We had a great last few years. Beverly's health was steady and improved; however, she has had some setbacks recently, including a week's stay in the hospital after over 6 hours of surgery as well as the discovery of another mass. She's back home, and with the help of a home health worker, she's making the most of her condition and thankful for each day, but as always, the medical bills can be too much to bear. Times are tough on us all, so please know this letter asks only those who can spare to donate. For the others, your thoughts, well wishes, friendship, and love are MORE than we can ask for.
UPDATE: August 24th: On August 17th Beverly completed her first 4 hour chemo session. More testing was done on the 20th and her next session is September 7th. So far she is doing ok, a bit tired and moving slow but she was cleared by the doctor to visit her nephew and great nephew this past weekend and had a great time with the family.
July 27th: Beverly was fitted for her mask for frontal lobe radiation. July 28th she received a biopsy of the thyroid.
July 22nd: Beverly received her port to start Chemo but it's pushed back until brain tumor is further addressed with targeted brain radiation but all we know now is that chemo sessions will be indefinite due to the extent and advancement of the metastasized cancer.
Most of us are no stranger to crowd funding for medical help as many of us struggle to make do within our healthcare system so now here I am asking for some help and support as well.
Beverly has received news this summer of the dreaded C word. It's cancer and it's in stage 4. Beverly Alexander Reed was born in NJ. Today she is retired and living with her brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Denise Alexander in SC . She's a loving sister, sister-in -law and auntie to seven neices and nephews not to mention a great aunt to many more.

As you can imagine after the shock of the news, follows sadness and fear but ultimately it is all outweighed by the stress of finances as insurance only covers a portion of treatment. I am asking for any bit of help to see her through this trying time which will not only take a burdern off of her to help her heal but be a great support to my parents who are her primary caretakers through this.
We want to make her fight a positive one so we're aiming high with our goal but truly appreciate anything that's offered, no amount is too small. 100% of the money will go to chemotherapy, doctor bills and travels to & from the many hospital visits she'll make along her journey to fight this thing! Beverly has more testing to undergo and begins her series of 7 chemo sessions in July. There's still many unknowns as more results are to come back so I will update this as often as possible.
