Our hearts are shattered.

On 11/23/2025, our family lost someone we were never ready to say goodbye to — Bernice Curtis. Waking up to this news has felt unreal. It still doesn’t make sense. One moment she was here, and the next… everything changed.

Bernice wasn’t just a mother, aunt, or sister — she was the warmth in the room, the steady voice on your worst days, the person who would give you her last even when she didn’t have much to spare. She loved hard, she fought through more than most ever knew, and she still kept showing up for the people she cared about.

Losing her has left our family in pieces. Her children are grieving their mother, and we are all trying to wrap our minds around the fact that she’s really gone. On top of this emotional devastation, we’re now facing the overwhelming responsibility of arranging her homegoing — something none of us were prepared for emotionally or financially.

We want to give her a service that reflects the love she gave all of us: something gentle, beautiful, and full of honor. But the reality is… we need help.

We are asking, from the deepest place in our hearts, for any support you can offer — whether it’s $5, $10, or simply a share. Everything will go directly toward funeral expenses and giving her the goodbye she deserves.
