Give Ben a Lyft

Our friend Ben has been diagnosed with a condition called Retinal Vasculitis. This means he is gradually losing his ability to see and will most likely be fully blind someday. So far, he has lost most of his peripheral vision and deals with various "blind spots" in his field of vision. This impairment has robbed him of his ability to drive a car and that's why I have set up this fundraiser.

Ben is in a bit of a jam and could really use our help, though he would never ask for it himself. He's dealing with a lot right now including some very unlucky financial setbacks. Let's help alleviate his worries about how to get to and from work every day by setting him up with a year's worth of rideshare credits. I hope that this will eliminate the guesswork and stress that comes with not being able to drive, especially since he has few friends and family to turn to for rides in Lexington, KY. Recently, he has resorted to walking more than 3 miles to work, which is NOT SAFE for a person in his condition. I'm scared to death something terrible could happen to him if he continues to do this. He NEEDS reliable transportation.

If you can contribute, it would go a very long way toward getting Ben back on track. Ben is unaware of this fundraiser, so I hope you will keep this between us until we reach our goal of $3500, which will be given to Ben in the form of Lyft credits. When the campaign has wrapped, I will reach back out to let you know the coast is clear and the secret is out.
