My sweet dog Bear is fighting for his life right now. It started with a large abscess near his trachea, and during his exam, the vets discovered he also has a heart murmur and cardiomyopathy (an enlarged heart). Because the swelling hasn’t gone down, Bear is staying in the hospital so they can watch his breathing closely, adjust his antibiotics, and keep him safe.

Bear is not just a pet — he is my special-needs companion animal who provides daily emotional support in my own special-needs household. His love and companionship are irreplaceable.

His veterinary bill has already passed $8,000 and continues to grow each day he needs hospitalization. I live on a single income and manage my own physical disabilities, so this expense is overwhelming.
