Give Bart van Well a home again...

Bart van Well is 50 jaar oud en heeft drie dochters. Hij is een HSPer (Hoog Sensitief Persoon) en heeft te dealen met triggers en trauma. Dit heeft hij te danken aan het feit dat hij als kind gedwongen misbruik heeft mee gemaakt in de kinderprostitutie en mensenhandel.

Tevens is hij een anonieme en beschermde kroongetuige geweest in een bekende misbruik zaak, de Rolodex zaak. Daarna volgde een moeilijke tijd, waarbij zijn trauma’s hem regelmatig parten speelden. Door een verkeerde diagnose kreeg hij de verkeerde medicijnen en verloor zijn miljoenen bedrijf.

Hij raakte dakloos en kwam ook nog eens in de gevangenis terecht voor het uiten van een (achteraf niet zo handige) opmerking over een bekende Nederlander, die door

andere slachtoffers is herkend als dader. Dit is door het OM uitgelegd als bedreigend. Waar vergelijkbare opmerkingen in andere zaken (en richting andere personen) leiden tot een

waarschuwing of taakstrafje, is Bart buiten proportioneel gestraft.

Bart heeft gehandeld vanuit emotie en frustratie. Door therapie leert Bart beter omgaan met zijn triggers en emoties. Daar wil hij buiten detentie mee verder, om het maximale uit zichzelf te kunnen halen. Voor Bart is het heel belangrijk dat er een veilige plek is waar hij zijn rust kan vinden, in een prikkelvrije omgeving. Hij heeft behoefte aan een thuis waar hij in alle rust en veiligheid kan verblijven, en waar hij zijn kinderen kan ontvangen.

Nu dreigt Bart per 2 februari 2024 bij ontslag uit de gevangenis weer dakloos te worden. Bart was voor zijn detentie ingeschreven bij Woonnet Haaglanden. Tijdens zijn detentie heeft hij geen contributie kunnen betalen, waardoor hij nu onderaan de lijst komt te staan.

Aanvankelijk zou hij aan woonruimte geholpen worden via Housing First, maar op het laatste moment hebben zij afgehaakt. Via de PI kan Bart daar niet worden aangemeld voor een woning. Er is een gesprek geweest waarin is aangegeven dat ze vanuit de PI helemaal niets meer gaan doen. Ondanks alle beloftes en toezeggingen. Ook het gebruikelijke re-integratie traject heeft Bart niet mogen doorlopen. De betrokken instanties wijzen naar elkaar, maar nemen geen van allen verantwoordelijkheid. Ondertussen begint de tijd te dringen.

Het mag en kan niet de bedoeling zijn dat Bart weer dakloos op straat belandt. Daarom hebben wij besloten het initiatief te nemen om zelf op zoek te gaan naar een (evt. tijdelijke)

woning voor Bart in de particuliere sector. Daar is geld voor nodig. Zowel voor de eerste maanden huur en borg als voor de inrichting. Bart heeft zelf geen middelen en zal straks

afhankelijk zijn van een uitkering. Daarom is deze crowdfunding opgestart.

Gun Bart een thuis en help ons het streefbedrag van 25.000 euro te behalen. Dan vind Bart rust en kan hij zich focussen op zijn toekomst en kan hij zich inzetten voor de stichting, welke vanuit een diepe wens van Bart is opgericht.- De Bart van Well Foundation - een stichting waaraan hij zijn naam heeft verbonden. Deze heeft tot doel slachtoffers en overlevers van sexueel misbruik te ondersteunen in de meest ruime zin. Iets wat Bart zelf heeft gemist toen hij er midden in zat.

Daar ligt zijn hart. Hij wil kinderen en jongeren die sexueel misbruikt zijn laten helen zodat zij een normaal leven kunnen opbouwen.

Help Bart zijn doelen te bereiken, waarbij een prikkelarme woonruimte essentieel is.

Bart van Well is 50 years old and has three daughters. He is a HSper (highly sensitive person) and has to deal with triggers and trauma. He owes this to the fact that as a child he was forcably abused in child prostitution and human trafficking.

He has also been an anonymous and protected crown witness in a well -known abuse case, the Rolodex case. This was followed by a difficult time, in which his traumas regularly troubled him. Due to a wrong diagnosis, he got the wrong medicines and lost his large business.

He hit homeless and also ended up in prison for expressing a (afterwards not so useful) remark about a well -known Dutchman, who through other victims recognized as a perpetrator. This was explained as threatening by the prosecution. Where comparable comments in other situations (and towards other persons) lead to a

warning or community service, Bart has been punished out of proportion.

Bart has acted from emotion and frustration. Through therapy, Bart learns to deal better with triggers and emotions. He wants to continue with that outside of detention, in order to get the most out of himself. For Bart it is very important that there is a safe place where he can find his peace, in a quite environment. He needs a home where he can stay in peace and safety, and where he can receive his children.

Now, on 2 February 2024, Bart threatens to become homeless again when dismissed from detention. Bart was registered with Woonnet Haaglanden before his detention. During his detention he was unable to pay a contribution, so he is now at the bottom of the list.

Initially he would be helped with living space via Housing First, but at the last minute they dropped out. Bart cannot be registered for a home via the detention centre there. There has been a conversation in which it was indicated that they are not going to do anything at all from the detention centre.

Despite all the promises and commitments. Bart has also not been allowed to go through the usual reintegration process. The authorities involved point to each other, but none of them take responsibility. In the meantime, time is starting to become scarce.

It cannot be the result that Bart will ends up on the streets again. That is why we have decided to take the initiative to look for an (possibly temporary) house for Bart in the private sector. Money is needed for that. Both for the first months of rent, deposit, for the interior decorating and household appliances. Bart has no means himself and will soon be dependant on Government benefits. That is why this crowdfunding was started.

Give Bart a home and help us achieve the target amount of 25,000 euros. Then Bart finds rest and he can focus on his future and can commit himself to the foundation, which was founded from a deep wish of Bart .- the Bart van Well Foundation. A foundation to which he has connected his name. The aim is to support victims and survivors of sexual abuse in the broadest sense. Something Bart himself missed when he was in the middle of it.

There is his heart. He wants to help children and young people who have been sexually abused, so that they too can build a normal life.

Help Bart to achieve his goals, with a living space that essential for his well being.
