Help Give Barney the Life He Deserves!

Earlier this year, during the LA fires, a 2-year-old ShepaDoodle named Barney was surrendered to a shelter. His early life was tough—tied up in a backyard with little socialization.

Despite his rough start, this smart, energetic dog has made incredible progress. He loves playing at the park, running through waves at the beach, and showing off his strong herding instincts —it’s clear he was meant for an active lifestyle.

My sister and I agreed to house Barney, give him love and care, but we now realize that a one-bedroom apartment isn’t the right setting for him. Barney has developed some reactivity. To ensure his success, he will be rehomed to a rural area in Washington State , where he’ll undergo intensive board-and-train with a small nonprofit rescue to prepare for a future as a farm dog or with a high-energy family .

How You Can Help: We need support for his training, food, and vet care to ensure he gets the best possible chance at a fulfilling life. The rescue has stepped up, but funding is needed to make this a reality.
