I'm Fareez Abrahim, and I am assisting in organizing this campaign to help the people of Yemen in the holy month of Ramadan.
Yemen enters this sacred month under war, hunger, and an ongoing humanitarian catastrophe.
Years of conflict have destroyed homes, livelihoods, and hope. Families have lost everything. Prices have soared beyond reach. Aid is limited. And today in Yemen, fasting is not a choice, it is forced by hunger.
According to humanitarian reports, more than 17 million people in Yemen are food insecure, and millions of children suffer from acute malnutrition. Many families survive on one small meal a day or none at all.
Mothers break their fast with tears instead of food.
Fathers raise their hands in duʿāʾ, unable to provide even bread.
Children fall asleep hungry, weak, and forgotten.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbor goes hungry.”
This Ramadan, Yemen is that neighbor.
This campaign is 100% ZAKAT-ELIGIBLE. Your zakat and sadaqah will be distributed to the poorest families, widows, orphans, and displaced people who have nothing to break their fast with.
With just $50, you can provide a full food parcel for one family for the entire month of Ramadan.
We have a trusted friend on the ground inside Yemen who will personally distribute the food parcels to families in need. Photos and updates will be shared on GoFundMe so donors can see exactly where their donations went and the impact they made.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to provide food parcels for 100 families this Ramadan. And if Allah allows us to raise more, we will not stop at 100 we will continue feeding as many hungry families as possible.
One donation can mean daily ifṭār, dignity, and survival.
Allah says:
“And whatever you spend in charity, He will replace it.” (Qur’an 34:39)
Your donation can:
Feed a family for the entire month of Ramadan
Protect children from hunger and malnutrition
Turn despair into duʿāʾ and hunger into hope
Do not delay your zakat. Hunger cannot wait. War has not waited.
Allah also says:
“Whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved all of mankind.” (Qur’an 5:32)
This Ramadan, let your zakat reach Yemen.
Let your fasting answer their hunger.
Let your charity be a lifeline in a land shattered by war.
May Allah accept your zakat and sadaqah with full acceptance.
May He purify your wealth, forgive your sins, and multiply your reward beyond measure.
May Allah place barakah in your provision, protect your families, answer your duʿāʾ, and grant you relief just as you brought relief to others.
May He shade you on the Day when there is no shade but His, and make your charity a light for you in this world and the Hereafter.
Āmīn.
Please donate now, share widely, and remember Yemen in your prayers.
