Give Bambi a Future: Surgery To Save His Leg

Hi, I’m Adrienne and I rescued a puppy at Christmas time for my daughter when I saw a photo/post and instantly fell in love. We named him Bambi, and he will be 8 months old this Saturday. He’s really grown into a loving boy and has hit his most playful stage.

Well, last Friday when I was at work and my daughter was at school, he injured himself from what we determined was a fall when trying to jump onto a high-top dining table.

We took him to the emergency vet and invested $1500 in his immediate needs: pain medicine, X-rays, IV to administer sedation so that he could get a splint, and that’s just the start. He fractured 2 bones, the radius and ulna, and will need surgery ASAP. My only options are surgery to reset the bones and hope they heal ($8000) or amputation! I was told that costs less than half but it hurts my heart to think that the best I can afford to give my baby is something so drastic as this - and what’s worse is to be limited in choice for treatment based on the financial impact. Bambi deserves a chance and I’m making this request to see if I can get the help I need in time to save his limb.
