Give Bailey a lifetime of experiences
Hi, my name is Tiffany. My baby sister Bailey has had a rough six weeks, On April 14th, we went into the hospital with stroke like symptoms, and she was admitted and a TON of tests were run, MRI, spinal tap, lots of blood work, and they couldn't figure out what was causing these symptoms. The MRI showed what they thought was a lesion on her brain and said it was very probable that she had MS. On April 18th, we were sent home and told to follow up with neurology (Yay! She was released the day before her birthday ! April 19th). The day after she was home (on her birthday), she was extremely sick and throwing up, her symptoms were getting worse, and we couldn't get into neurology very soon. She ended up back in the hospital, and they did more tests and MRIs. Her "lesion" has grown in size, and now they are saying it could be a mass. More tests, more blood, another spinal tap. Still no clear answers, we are sent home again, awaiting a follow-up.
Friday, May 13th, she asked my parents if she could sleep with them and while trying to fall asleep, she told them something was wrong and needed to go to the hospital. Trying to get her in the car, her right leg spasms and shakes uncontrollably. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and admitted again. They decided they had to do a biopsy of this spot on her brain to figure out what exactly is going on. They told us her case is very rare and they have never seen anything like this.
On May 18th Bailey undergoes minor brain surgery and then the wait begins, 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS for results. Tuesday, May 31st, we were delivered the worst news you could ever get about a loved one.
Brain cancer....brain cancer in a 19-year-old. Astrocytoma grade 4. I wont put the statistics on here because we are all hoping and praying for a miracle, but we need to give her a lifetime of experiences in the time we have left. Donations will go to anything and everything she wants to experience, including a fairytale wedding for her, as her boyfriend of 2 years proposed to her last night (yay!)
Help her experience the best life.
