At just 14 years old, Bailee should be spending her days playing the sports she loves, making memories with her family and friends, starting high school, and cheering on her favorite soccer teams. Instead, she and her mom are facing news no family ever expects to hear: Bailee has cancer.

Just a few weeks ago, Bailee discovered a large lump on her back, close to her spine. What followed was a whirlwind of doctor appointments, scans, tests, and uncertainty. After extensive testing, we received the devastating news that the tumor is malignant and that the cancer has also spread to her lungs.

Bailee is now facing an intensive treatment journey, and we are still learning more about her diagnosis, treatment plan, and what the months ahead will bring.

If you know Bailee, you know that she is so much more than her diagnosis.

She is a 14-year-old daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister, teammate, student, athlete, and friend. She is passionate about soccer and basketball and recently accomplished something she was incredibly proud of—making the Rush 15U Premier N1 soccer team.

She loves spending time with her mom and Nana, being with the people she loves, and cheering on her favorite soccer teams, including Real Madrid and Al Nasser.

She had just started what should have been an exciting new chapter of her life—her first days of high school. Instead, she is now facing a battle that no child should ever have to face.

Her Mom Is Her Provider, Her Advocate, and Her Biggest Supporter

Bailee’s mom, has been her sole provider and the only parent who has ever financially provided for her. She has always been responsible for making sure she has what she needs, and now she is facing the unimaginable challenge of caring for her daughter through cancer while continuing to carry that responsibility on her own.

Right now, her priority is Bailee.

She needs to be there for her appointments, treatments, hospital visits, scans, medications, and everything else this journey requires. There will be times when she needs to step away from work or reduce the amount of time she can work in order to be by her side. As a single parent and sole provider, that creates a financial burden that she simply cannot carry alone.

She never imagined that she would have to ask for help providing for her child through something like this. But right now, Bailee needs her mom beside her more than ever.

And I want to make sure that when she looks back on this time, she remembers that she was there—holding her hand, advocating for her, comforting her, and doing everything in her power to help her fight.

Now, Bailee Needs Her Team Behind Her

We are creating this GoFundMe to help surround Bailee and her mom with love and support during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time.

Cancer doesn’t only take a physical and emotional toll—it can create an enormous financial burden for a family. Between ongoing medical appointments, treatments, scans, medications, transportation and travel, meals away from home, time away from work, and the many unexpected expenses that come with caring for a child with cancer, the costs can quickly become overwhelming.

Those financial challenges are even more significant because She is Bailee’s sole provider. There isn’t another parent sharing the financial responsibility of raising her or helping cover the expenses that come with this fight.

Every dollar raised will help give the ability to keep focus where it belongs: on Bailee.

It will help with the costs that come with her cancer journey and allow her to be there for Bailee when she needs her the most.

She wants to be able to take her to treatment without worrying about whether she can afford the gas to get there. She wants to be able to make sure she has what she needs without having to choose between an expense for her and an everyday household bill. Most importantly, she wants to be able to take time away from work when necessary so she can sit beside Bailee and help her through this.

No mother should have to worry about how she is going to financially survive while fighting alongside her child for their life.
