Hi team,
Give Back Week is back with more fabulous ways in which we can help make a difference to someone. Last year the team raised money via a sponsored walk around London, collecting donations for MSF.
This year we thought we would grab the chance to play Santa getting involved in the Group-wide donation drive to sprinkle some magic as far & wide as possible. We’ve chosen an international charity, The Salvation Army, as well as a special one right on our doorstep, Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital.
How to be part of the Magic:
The idea is to collect funds to buy as many goodies as we can to spread out some Christmas cheer to those who are having a tough time or seriously ill.
Our Salvation Army goody bags will be dedicated to young people who are very often forgotten at this time of the year. We will buy them gifts like girl’s and boy’s toiletry gift sets, vouchers for high street retailers, etc. We can have fun buying teddy bears favourite toys for the children in GOSH.
We are politely asking for all donations by 30th November as we need time to do the gift shopping and arrange deliveries.
With the money we can buy items on their wish lists but of course, if you see any great gifts while doing your weekly shop, feel free to pop them into your trolley too, we gladly accept any individual items on top of any money contribution. Please note that any gifts for GOSH will need to be kept in their original wrapping and not wrapped up in your favourite Christmas paper as they need to be uncontaminated to take into the ward.
Double the fun – Thanks to ACT:
As always, ACT will be matching all money raised so hopefully we will be able to share some festive spirit with even more people.
Mark your Calendars:
Give Back Week is 4th – 8th December
Our International Give Back Day will be Thursday 7th December. This is the day we will show the Group what we organised together with our international partners who have also organised some great initiatives.
Any help with the delivering of the presents is welcome if anyone would like to volunteer, Santa hats encouraged!
