Help Defray the Cost of Medical Expenses, Mobility Van, Medications and Adaptive Technologies.
My name is Betsy Newton, and along with my friends Debbie Cook, Lisa Doran, Charlotte Wiggins, Jean Rainey and Cathy Myers, I want to tell you the story of a wonderful woman and our dearest friend: Vivian Worthington.
We all met 40+ years ago while working at KeyBank in Hamilton, Ohio. We started traveling together year after year after year. Nights out with the husbands or significant others. Kids and grandkids' birthday parties, showers, weddings. Everything a "family" does. We have always been there for each other, and Vivian has always been the wise one in the group. Now Vivian needs our help.
Vivian was recently diagnosed with ALS and is struggling with everything that goes along with this horrible disease. While, thankfully, she has two wonderful daughters taking care of her along with their significant others, her family is still in need of a mobility vehicle so that Vivian can be easily transported. These specially equipped vans cost close to $100,000.00. While you can lease these vehicles, a large percentage (25%) is due upfront. Also, the cost of medications, a wheelchair and adaptive technologies continue to skyrocket.
Can you help us make life a little easier for someone who has made all of our lives so much better? Not only has Vivian always been a wonderful friend, but she is also well-known in her community for her positions at Key Bank and Harrison Savings and Loan and her work with the Kiwanis and the local Chamber of Commerce.
Please join us to give back just a little of what Vivian has given to all of us. Thank you for your help!
