Mikki, We've Got Your Back!

Donation protected
Our friend Mikki Proffitt has spent her life giving to others.

Now, she needs our help.

If you know Mikki, you have benefited from her kindness and her deep desire to serve. She’s been a tireless advocate for high school kids struggling with addiction. And a foster mom opening her home to a youth who needed one.

Maybe you’ve joined her super-early-morning classes at gyms in Sandy or Bend or Sand Point. Or traveled with her to Uganda to help with community projects. Perhaps you’ve met her in one of the dozens of trainings she’s taken to help and heal those who’ve experienced trauma.

Whether she’s leading a spin class, counseling a young person in trouble, or having coffee with a friend, Mikki’s personal mission is all about inspiring, improving and enhancing the lives of those around her.

And now, after helping so many, Mikki can really use a hand herself.

Earlier this fall, she started experiencing excruciating pain that left her unable to walk some days--and has been on a quest to figure out what’s going on.  Finally diagnosed with a ruptured disc, Mikki discovered she needs surgery immediately.  Unfortunately, she was recently laid off from her position in Idaho---at which time her health insurance ended. She moved to Estacada a few weeks ago, where she has a new job starting in early 2019.

She is scheduled for an early December surgery and the procedure she requires comes with a HUGE deductible--$8,000!

You know that Mikki would never ask for help, so we’re asking on her behalf.

Please consider giving ANYTHING you can to help ease her financial burden. Mikki is such an incredibly strong person—we have no doubt she’ll bounce back from this surgery and soon be back in action doing what she loves and serving others.

It would be wonderful if she could do that without having to face an enormous debt from the surgery.

Please give whatever you can and show Mikki that we’ve got her back!

We love you, Mikki!
