To those who’ve supported me and those who love dogs:

This is hard for me, but I’m reaching out today to ask for help for our dog, Makea.

Makea has been by Jeremy’s side for the past 7 years. She’s more than just a pet, she’s my best friend, my support, and the reason I became who I am today. She’s helped me through hard times, and she’s brought joy and comfort to so many others as a therapy dog, service dog, and loyal companion. She’s gone on adventures with me, comforted strangers, and stood by my side through everything.

But now, Makea needs our help. She’s been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a painful and aggressive bone cancer. The only real option to give her a fighting chance to stop the pain, potentially give her more time is and a real chance at recovery is to amputate her leg. The surgery and follow-up care will cost around $4,500, something I’m struggling to cover on my own.

Makea has given everything she has to me and to the people she’s helped. Now it’s my turn to try to give back. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it will make a difference. And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing her story with others.
