ED DOYLE - For a Man Who's Given His Life to Others - It's Our Turn to Give Back

Our friend Eddie Doyle is facing a very serious health challenge. Ed was the heart and soul of the world's most famous bar - Cheers, aka The Bull & Finch Pub, on Beacon Street in Boston, where he tended bar for 37 years. During his time at "The Pub", Ed was behind and led fundraising efforts that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities including: Cheers for Children, Globe Santa, Dana Farber, Friends of Floating Hospital, The Jimmy Fund, The Cam Neely House at Tufts Medical Center, The Spirted Bostonians, and countless others.

Ed, and his close friend - the late Tommy Leonard, also founded the Falmouth Walk 34 years ago. This event, held yearly on the day before the Falmouth Road Race, has brought thousands of people together for a day of exercise, camaraderie and giving for those in need. This past year alone the Walk raised $58,000 for Falmouth charities. The walk has raised just shy of 1M since its inception.

When money was needed for these and other charities, Ed was always the first person to step up, with tireless energy and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, due to Ed's medical issues, he and his wife Marcia are now in need of our help, as they face a large financial burden for his care. Let us show Ed and Marcia how much they are loved and appreciated in their time of need.
