Give Back to 1997 Cafe y Cocina

Donation protected
Jesse and Manny have created beautiful businesses that have provided a safe space for the Yakima Latiné/Chicané community to come together like never before. Le Merc was a whole vibe, and we miss her. 1997 is emerging as an important space for us marginalized folks, not just for cafecito y chisme, but proudly existing in our colorful identities and communities. 1997 was recently severely damaged and will be shut down indefinitely until she gets her glow up.

Y'all, these two have been fierce advocates for us! Even now, while 1997 is hurting, they are still planning and working on the events they committed to! They aren't letting this stop their plans or goals! So, in the spirit of community, in defiance and resistance against anti-Latino vibes, to celebrate Pride Month, and to honor these two very valuable members of our community, Jesse and Manny, let's give back to them a little of what they have given us! Help us raise $3,500 to help support them while 1997 stays closed.
