Ive never done anything like this in my life.

Ive never gone through anything like this either. On 12/13/22 right before Christmas our baby boy was diagnosed with Hydrop Fetalis a fatal heart condition, in his case caused by a Lung condition called C.H.A.O.S. Which causes ingested fluid to not be able to escape his body. His chances of survival even to birth without intervention is less than 10%. Ive never felt such pain and torment.

Ive been given the option to terminate him or attempt to see if his life is savable. Both options due to the GA laws and availability of doctors and tech, are out of town (Maryland or PA) and we have 3 other kids. The doctors don’t know if he is missing a trachea or it’s webbed or it’s only partially there or if it’s simply obstructed and can’t know if his life if livable or what his quality of life would be without me leaving Atlanta and going to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for fetal intervention. The cost of the consultation itself is 30k and I’m fighting with my insurance co to cover it.

I’ve set the consult for 12/27/22.

If he’s able to be saved this would require me leaving my home and potentially my job for months even after his birth (due May 6 2023). Even termination comes with both a mental and financial price ($1400) 

These funds would be used to assist with flights, food, transportation, medical cost and to help maintain the life of our children while we make hard decisions in an attempt to fight for our baby boys life. Any support is greatly appreciated.
