Hey guys!

My friend Valerie just adopted this beautiful boy we call Baby. He is already a year old, weighs 3 pounds, and is the sweetest, most determined little guy ever. Unfortunately, as a small puppy he was injured, which resulted in a broken neck. He has been handicapped and paralyzed for the past 9 months, just being able to lay on his side and observe the world.

After taking him to the neurologist and spine specialists, we were told that he has severe muscle atrophy, aside from his neck bones overlapping. They said there is a chance he may gain muscle and strength to at least be on a wheelchair and possibly be mobile one day. The doctors said that physical therapy is the only chance he might have to ever walk again or sit like a dog, just be somewhat normal, in general.

He has started his physical therapy, laser therapy, and acupuncture with a very rigorous schedule for the next 6 weeks, as well as receiving massages at home 3 times a day. He has started to show significant improvements with feeling and movements in all 4 limbs. He’s starting to squirm around, lift his head up, and reposition himself, all on his own.

Caring for a special needs dog has been so fulfilling already and we can’t wait to continue this process and see where the road leads him. She wants to be able to give him the best care possible, whatever that may be.

With that being said, his medical bills, physical therapy, and wheelchair costs are extremely high and any donations received will be used towards giving him a much better life and continuing his treatment.

Any donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated to help us through this long process of giving him a second chance at life, with the possibility of walking one day, even if it might be crooked :)
