Astrid has always been a playful, feisty cat with a strong personality. During this last year, though, she’s been struggling with a painful condition called stomatitis. It’s been heartbreaking to watch her lose her spark she now spends most of her days hiding, and the energetic cat I know and love barely comes out anymore.
We first noticed something was wrong earlier this year and took her to the vet, but it took multiple visits and a lot of uncertainty before we finally got a diagnosis. The process has been expensive and stressful, and Astrid’s health has continued to decline. She’s lost a lot of weight and has trouble eating, even when we try to give her medicine in her food. It’s clear that she’s in pain every day, and it’s been so hard to see her struggle.
Astrid’s vet has recommended a full dental extraction to relieve her pain and give her a chance to get back to her old self. This surgery is the only way to ease her chronic discomfort and help her enjoy life again. I want nothing more than to see Astrid healthy, happy, and playful like she used to be. Any support will go directly toward her surgery and recovery, giving her the best chance at a pain-free life.
Funds will be used to get her the surgery she needs
