Last year, my uncle Ashant Highgate lost his leg to complications from diabetes. Since then, every day has been a struggle. Simple tasks we take for granted moving around the house, getting to doctor’s appointments, taking care of himself have become overwhelming challenges.

Ashant needs a prosthetic leg to reclaim his independence and his life.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Despite having insurance, the high deductible and low reimbursement rates have left us with costs we simply cannot afford on our own. Without this prosthetic, Ashant remains homebound, unable to drive himself to the medical appointments he desperately needs to manage his diabetes and stay healthy.
