Hi, my name is Jennifer, and I am fundraising for my nephew, Archer.

Archer is 16 years old and lives with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, blindness, autism and a severe intellectual disability. He requires 24-hour care and support, but despite the challenges he faces every day, Archer is full of personality, resilience and determination.

Until recently, Archer attended school, where he was able to learn, socialise and be part of a community. School wasn’t just education for Archer… it was connection, routine, therapy and a chance to experience the world around him.

However, due to recent changes to his NDIS funding, Archer can no longer attend school.

The specialised transport and support he relies on to get there are no longer adequately funded. The same applies to many of his medical appointments, therapies and community activities that are essential to his health and wellbeing.

For most of us, getting to school, seeing friends or attending an appointment is something we take for granted.

For Archer, it depends entirely on having the right supports in place.

Without accessible transport and appropriate funding, Archer risks becoming isolated at home, missing out on education, therapies, medical care and the opportunities every young person deserves.

Our family is doing everything we can to fight this decision and advocate for Archer, but we need help.

The funds raised through this campaign will go towards the costs of accessible transport, vehicle hire, travel to medical appointments and therapies, and ensuring Archer can continue to participate in his community while we work to secure the long-term support he desperately needs.

This isn’t about luxury.

It’s about giving a 16-year-old boy the chance to learn, grow, access healthcare and experience life outside the four walls of his home.

Archer is more than his disabilities.

He is a son who is deeply loved.

A nephew who lights up the room.

A young man who deserves the same opportunities as anyone else; to learn, connect, laugh and live with dignity.
