Give Anna a Chance at a Healthy Life

Donation protected
Anastasia (Anna) Griffith has always had one dream; to be a mother. As a young child, she spent her spare time volunteering to watch and take care of children. She has always dreamed about the day that she would hold her own child and enjoy the blessings of parenthood herself. 15 years ago, when she married the love of her life, Stephen Griffith, she thought that she could finally begin working towards that dream. Unfortunately, life had different plans. Shortly after her marriage, she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

Because of PCOS, she suffers from rapid weight gain (and trouble keeping it off) and diabetes. She also suffers from severe hormone imbalances which lead to anxiety, and depression. And unfortunately, a very low possibility of having children due to a cyst that grows and then bursts on her ovaries (which can be a harrowing experience).

There is no medication, no easy fix, although Anna did not let that depressing news keep her from planning for a family. Anna began researching, saving, and talking with doctors. She has tried countless fertility measures with no luck. She even tried foster care and adoption; both met with devastating and costly results for her and her loving husband.

Within the past few years, more research has been done on PCOS, and just as hope was lost, a new procedure was developed: Ovarian Wedge Resection surgery. This is a necessary surgery that can literally turn her life around. If successful, this surgery can help with many of the symptoms that Anastasia suffers through on a daily basis. And even more amazingly, it comes with a strong possibility of being able to have her own children in the future. On top of the potential to have children naturally, can help make it possible for her to control her weight gain, hormone imbalances, anxiety, and depression issues.

So far, the remaining bill after insurance to cover this life-changing surgery is $3,000. It's scheduled for February 21st, and as of right now, they won't have the funds to go through with it.

They are unable to pay themselves because of several unfortunate events over the past couple of years. Their funds have been exhausted through lawyer fees during an adoption attempt. Both of their vehicles suffered (totaled worthy) expensive repairs and college fees they weren't able to keep up on. Due to this, they are struggling to get by, let alone be ready to afford the surgery on February 21st. Because of these unforeseen expenses, they have taken out several loans to simply survive.

You can help!

We think we can raise the necessary $3,000 before February 21st.

The hope is to raise the needed for the surgery in time so Anastasia can have a chance at the life she was never privileged to have. Your donation will help them level out their lives in ways we can't adequately describe, and after time they will be able to continue work and get back on their feet. Any additional funds could even help them pay off some of their accruing debt. And hopefully, also support her spouse Steven to finish college and build a future for their family.

This surgery changes so much in their lives, and given time, could even help them conceive a child after things leveled out. They have had such a challenging couple of years, yet this could be the year that completely turns things around. You can help us do that for her!

Anastasia has always been a caring individual. She is one of the first friends and family members to offer her support in any way that she can. She initiated a program with local grocery stores that donates broken bags of dog and cat food to local shelters, has never turned away an animal in need of love, and has spent her life taking care of everyone else. Anastasia and Steven are some of the most helpful, most loving people you could ever meet. NEVER do they ask for anything in return, or support for themselves. That's why we're asking for them.

If you can donate (even tiny amounts), it will help us reach our goal. If you can't contribute financially, we understand! Please share this and help spread the word!
