Please take a moment to honor the memory of Angel and help support his family in this difficult time of grief. 

We are incredibly saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of our dearest friend Angel. Angel Maurilio Vargas Alferez passed away on Monday, May 26th due to an acute medical emergency. As a community and chosen family, we all mourn together, reflecting on his life and the connections he shared with us all. 

We all encapsulate a piece of Angel’s light. He reached so many, openly sharing with us in the simple passions of life that comfort the complexities of our existence. He loved to cook and share meals. He had an innate wisdom and unmatched wit. A sense of style and passion for arts, culture, music and community. A touching sense of compassion for all living beings.

Angel was a selfless, gentle being with abundant passion. He was lovingly dedicated to his friends and family for which he would do anything to support, uplift and deeply care for. We cherish the irreplaceable time we had together, that his memory will be proudly shared within our collective hearts.

We are raising funds to help support his relatives and cover the costs of burial and funeral services. A contribution of any amount is greatly appreciated and all donations will go directly to his family.
