Our friend Andrei needs a hand, quite literally - a bionic hand. We’re committed to ensuring he gets one.
Andrei, a provider, father, and veteran first responder tragically lost his right arm from the elbow down when he came into contact with powerlines during a paragliding accident.
For years, Andrei few paragliders while working on an elite mountain rescue team in his native Romania.
Mountain rescue requires strength and selflessness, while paragliding requires agility and perseverance. Both are technical, and involve no small degree of courage.
All of these traits describe our friend Andrei, someone deserving of our help.
In helping us reach our fundraising goal of $100k, this will:
- Provide Andrei with a prosthesis that will fit him correctly
- Alleviate some (or hopefully all) of the excruciating pain he feels daily
- Restore to Andrei a sense of independence and performance he’s not known since his accident

All funds raised, less what is required of GoFundMe, will go directly to the fitting, purchase, and required follow up for Andrei’s hand.
Please give today and know you are having a direct impact on Andrei’s life.
Thank you,
Patrick and Giles

The process of Fitting Andrei’s Arm
As you can imagine this is a huge step for Andrei!
We’ll have several appointments with the experts at the Hanger clinic ahead of us…
Step 1
In the first meeting we’ll get all the measurements so that Andrei’s hand will be a perfect fit – this will hopefully ease some of the pain that Andrei feels on a daily basis.
Step 2
This will be a day to remember when Andrei will have his hand fitted!
Step 3
Once the arm is fitted we’ll have to test that it works in a variety of situations, from tying shoelaces, to hiking and flying paragliders we’ll test the arm and ensure that it works perfectly
Step 4
Once the arm has been tested we’ll make the needed changes to ensure that it’s a perfect fit!
You're contribution, whatever you're able to give, will help make this a reality. We're thinking that's something you'll feel good about.
