Hi, my name is Noah, and I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart, but also with hope. Recently, I had to say goodbye to my soul dog, Jaffa, after she suddenly ruptured a splenic hemangiosarcoma. It was unexpected and devastating. One moment she was her happy, silly self, and the next, she was gone. I'm grateful I was with her in her final moments, but the pain is overwhelming.

In the midst of this grief, I've found comfort in my other dog, Nancy. But while browsing Reddit, I came across a post about Amy, a sweet, gentle dog in a high-kill shelter in California. She's been there for over 30 days and is at risk of euthanasia. Amy is believed to be about 1.5 years old and weighs between 40 and 45 lbs.

Seeing her video, I was struck by her docile, well-behaved nature, even with other dogs and food around. I can't stop thinking about her and the chance to give her a loving home. I believe rescuing Amy will not only save her life but also help me heal during this difficult time, while knowing I can never replace Jaffa.
