Albert is a 14-year-old Quarter Horse with the kindest soul—and he needs our help now more than ever.

Once from Alberta, Canada, Albert has been passed around from place to place, in and out of auctions, and now he’s facing the terrifying prospect of going back to one—this time, while losing his eyesight.

Albert is going blind, and in his condition, the auction system would be not only cruel—it could be a death sentence. He is clearly a horse who has been mistreated in the past. He’s very fearful of people and startled by objects near him, yet underneath all that fear is the gentlest, sweetest spirit just waiting to trust again.

Despite everything he’s been through, Albert still shows glimpses of hope. He has incredible potential if someone can just take the time to earn his trust and give him the stable, loving home he’s never had. And we want to be that someone.
