Give Alan the gift of sight

Donation protected
This is Alan Mendez, he's an 11th-grade student at Veterans Memorial High School at the top of his class, and has a passion for programming that he's developed while participating in robotics. However, three years ago Alan was diagnosed with Keratoconus; a rare condition where the clear tissue of the front of the eye (cornea) bulges outward in both eyes. This condition since then has progressed to the point where he can no longer see clearly, and it will continue to degrade to a level where one will experience difficulty leading a normal life. Alan is the programmer for our school's robotics team (Kob3 #12453) which competes in the F.I.R.S.T. Tech Challenge.
The funds being raised will cover medical expenses; cornea transplant surgery, medication, glasses, ongoing doctors' visits, and as well as transportation to and from the appointments.

Alan's dream is to be a programmer, but without his vision, that dream may never come true. We hope you support Alan and help donate to his cause.
