Give Abd and his family in Gaza a safe future

Donation protected
My name is Abd. I am 19 years old from Gaza.

Before the war, I was a high-achieving student with a strong passion for education, art, and creativity. I was an art student, and I used creative expression and theatre as a way to learn, communicate, and grow.

One of my proudest achievements was participating in a theatre performance under the supervision of the Hands Up Project, an international educational charity that supports young people in Gaza through education, arts, and global connection.

This experience strengthened my confidence and reinforced my belief that education and creativity can truly change lives.

Then the war began — and everything stopped.

What the War Took from Me

Because of the war, I lost my home, my work, my daily routine, and many people around me. Me and my family were forced to move many times, and most painfully, my education was completely interrupted. For two years, I was unable to continue my studies — not because I lacked motivation or ambition, but because life in Gaza made education impossible. But even during this time, I refused to give up, and I was able to take my exams and graduate from school in October 2025.

Being 19 and Still Trying

At 19 years old, I am at a critical stage of my life. This is the age when education, skills, and opportunity can shape my future. I am not asking for sympathy — I am a young adult trying to take responsibility for my life and support my family despite impossible circumstances. War took away the path I wanted to follow, but it didn’t take my determination.

Rebuilding and Supporting My Family and Community

I am asking for a chance to continue building my future through education and honest work. With the help of early donations to this fund, I worked on a small project to provide internet services to displaced families, helping them stay connected during extremely difficult circumstances and helping other young people to study. This project also became a source of income for my family, allowing us to survive with dignity despite the challenges.

Unfortunately, all the internet equipment was stolen. In a single moment, the project collapsed, and I was forced back to zero — losing months of effort and hope. Still, I did not stop trying.

How Your Support Will Help

Your donations will help me to:

· Resume my education after two years of forced interruption
· Cover essential living and education-related expenses
· Rebuild or develop sustainable work opportunities
· Continue supporting my family through honest and meaningful work

This campaign is not about comfort or luxury. It is about education, resilience, and the right to keep rebuilding a future after repeated loss.

Why Your Help Matters

When war takes education away from a young person, it takes away their future. Your donation — no matter how small — will help me move forward instead of being forced to give up.

If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign is another powerful way to help.

Thank you for believing in my effort, my education, and my future.
