Give Abby the Freedom to Thrive at College
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
Abby’s dream of attending college is within reach, but chronic illness is holding her back. Help us give her the electric wheelchair she needs to move, learn, and live fully.
My name is Pam Vitarelli, and I’m raising funds for my friend’s incredible daughter, Abby, who is about to begin her college journey at Irvine Valley College (IVC). We’re all so proud of everything she’s accomplished to get to this point, but she’s facing a unique challenge that we hope you can help us overcome.
Abby has been diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). These conditions make even short periods of standing or walking exhausting and, at times, debilitating. College life—especially getting to and from classes across campus—will be extremely difficult without additional support.
We are raising $3,000 to purchase an electric wheelchair that will allow Abby to move around independently, conserve her energy, and fully participate in her college experience. Insurance unfortunately does not cover the type of chair she needs, and that’s where we’re asking for help.
Your donation will go directly toward:
• A reliable, comfortable electric wheelchair
• Accessories or modifications to support her specific needs
• Any setup, delivery, or maintenance costs
This wheelchair will truly be life-changing for Abby—it will give her the freedom and accessibility she needs to pursue her education with dignity and independence.
Whether you’re able to give or simply share her story, we are so grateful for your support.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Pam, Abby, and her family
