We would greatly appreciate any and all help, please. Thank you:)

(Awe-tistic* I spell it that way because I prefer to see him as differently-abled (not disabled) and I think he's pretty awe-some:)
Hi, I'm Mama Rie. Nine years ago, I moved up to Sullivan County with my son, Jack, with a vision of starting Jack's Village: a learning and healing village. The goal is to create a self-sustainable tiny house village for helpers of all kinds and their special needs families- a place where we help each other take care of our own loved ones In that time, we've had many learning experiences to heal from. I have come to lovingly refer to this experience as Earth School... it's made it easier to get through:)
Jack is a smart, loving and capable 19 year old who has awe-tism (I spell it that way because I think he's awesome:) He also has some communication difficulties, which has it's challenges. I would like to create a place for him and others like him to learn to be as independent as possible and make sure the community he lives in is healed, so I know he will be in a good place when I go
I don't claim to be a perfect person/Mom, but I have learned some really great skills from some extremely intelligent and frugal people. I make many mistakes throughout each day, but I keep getting back up and try to learn the lessons, because Jack needs me
Currently, my days are spent taking care of Jack and helping him navigate through his days and dreaming up ways I would want to help our community (for all of us), if given a chance. I also try to remind myself to take care of myself as well; because being a caregiver, that's important too
Ever since last November when a deer totalled my car, we've been on a slippery slope financially. In early Spring, I ended up taking Jack out of school because he was miserable there and it was stressing both of us. But with him being home with me pretty much 24/7 and not having time to work a paying job, it's made it impossible for me to make any money, which has eaten away the last of our resources. I have been looking for an aide/mentor for him for years and have not been able to find anyone who wants the job. I have been filling that role myself, but cannot get paid because I am his Mom (that law needs to be changed)
I have not been able to pay my rent for over 4 months and if I don't come up with the money by November 15th, we will soon be evicted. Luckily, Jack will be able to stay with his Dad in Brooklyn. Even though his Dad is a really good person who loves his son very much, I don't want Jack to live in Brooklyn...he needs space to be Jack.
What I'd like to do is buy the property where we live and start a small business to teach others daily living skills and wholesome recreation activities:) Add a small house to rent to and foster a single parent family facing homeless (to help keep the family together, because that's important).Hopefully, we can help each other with our children. I'd also like to find a mentor (or more) to teach Jack how to be the caretaker of the property, so he will always have a place to live and a purpose, and hopefully a large healthy community to surround him when I leave this Earth.m
So I need help, please.
If you could donate any money to help me/us create a firm foundation for us and/or would like to help in any way, I would be forever grateful. I have never had a business and need all the help I can get to start this, but I feel Jack and I have a lot to contribute to help teach others how to navigate this life and have fun while doing it:).
God bless us all
Also, if anyone is interested in investing in one or more of my following ideas or wants to participate in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me.
*Ween Yoga:
"learn to be stable in an unstable world" Community habilitation and rehabilitation focusing on daily life skills and recreation/fun
*Mentoring trade program
*Jack's Clubhouse: The Arts for mental health and socialization
*Mama Rie's Treat House and Sanctuary: self care
*Marine Park in the Catskills- creating a safe circular path to ride a bike/jog/walk for exercise, with benches all around. A dog park in the middle would be nice as well. A no cost place to socialize.
*Jack's Place: a non alcoholic fun establishment for young adults and the young at heart. I am not opposed to alcohol and have never had a problem with it, but I see many people that do. I want to create healthier options for people to go to relax and/or blow off steam.
*Foster families for single parent families with special needs: help families stay together, offer child care and help teach them the skills to thrive. This would create a healthier community and (current and future) workforce.
If anyone chooses to take one of these ideas, please let us know...maybe we can collaborate in some way. Pay it forward, we need to work together to help as many people as possible. It can happen if we all work together .All the best to all of us
