More Dogge Animal Shelter

Moe Dogge shelter came into existence in 2019 after seeing the abuse and neglect of hundreds dogs and cats in Beirut. A small shelter was started in an abandoned building in the city but due to numerous complaints from local people reporting the dogs to the police the shelter was moved to the mountains. From an initial 10 dogs that were being supported in a rudimentary shelter with absolutely nil social media or supporters input the shelter quickly grew to a hundred dogs.

The shelter was moved to the beach closer to home and quickly developed into a nice area for the dogs.

The shelter is now based back in the mountains where over 180 dogs are cared for on more spacious land.

The current plan is to purchase private land to build a beautiful purpose built shelter in Beirut which will be a permanent shelter until the dog gets adopted.

‏At Moe Dogge Animal Shelter, our facility is thoughtfully divided into four distinct areas to ensure the well-being of all our residents

‏1. Puppy area

‏This dedicated space is designed for our small puppies, providing a safe and stimulating environment where they can grow, play, and socialize.

2. ‏Senior Dog Area

Our senior dogs deserve special care and attention. This area is designed to cater to their unique needs, We try and provide comfort for the older dogs however beds and blankets get destroyed so we cannot afford to keep replacing them.

3. Adult Dog Area

This section accommodates our adult dogs, providing them with ample space to roam and play. We focus on behavioral training and socialization, preparing these dogs for their forever homes while ensuring they receive the love and care they deserve.

4.Quarantine Area

For dogs or puppies suffering from infectious diseases, we have a dedicated quarantine area to ensure their safety and the health of other residents. Here, they receive the necessary medical care and monitoring until they are healthy enough to join the rest of the shelter.
