“Hello, I am starting this Go Fund me page for our family member, Elvia Garcia. Our hearts break for Elvia and her children right now, as her husband Tommy past away on October 26th. If you knew or met this couple, you would know how special they are and how much everyone loves them. She is not only grieving for the loss of her love, but financially worried and stressed on how she will pay for Tommy's services and survive on her income. Growing up, I was always so happy to be around Elvia, I wanted to be as nice and cool as her. I have always looked up to her and I still do. As many of you know Elvia is disabled and on a fixed income. Now that Tommy has past, Elvia will not be able to collect his social security until she is 60 years old (she has 6 years to go). His veteran payments stopped because he was only at 100% disability for 2 years and needed to be for 10 years for the family to continue receiving payments. Elvia should not have to worry about money right now. Let’s show Elvia who her family and friends are by being there for her in any way we can. Any donation is appreciated. Please donate what you can as soon as possible. This is a very special lady. We love you Elvia.” -Julie Moya
“This is Erika his Daughter I’d like to share a few more words about my dad...my dad proudly served our country as a Vietnam Vet; He was also a Roofer for most of his life and a great boss at that he was always good to his employees, to this day they would be really happy when they saw my father...He was also very well known and loved in his city of La Habra and was a big fan of La Habra High School Football as many of you know and was at every game because he couldn’t miss one second of watching his favorite team, players and coaches in action throughout all my life....He was also retired and disabled for many years along with my mother who has been disabled for 13 years, he suffered from diabetes fought through a tumor in his brain from mid 2011 to 2013 when they removed 70% of it from his brain because they couldn’t get the rest of it; then he was fighting through Stage 4 Cancer in his Hip, Lung and Kidneys since 2015 till the day he died and it spread like poison throughout his body he also after finding out about the cancer found out that he had congestive heart failure......now me and my father didn’t always have the best relationship it was definitely a love hate one but this last year that I got to spend with my dad was definitely one of the best that I will always remember...I’ll remember throughout my life all his stories that he told me about his life and all the places he took me when taking random road trips and even to school every morning...I’ll remember his chubbiness and wrinkles that made his hugs feel the best...I love my Dad and I love my Family and if you could please support us with a donation, big or small, we would greatly appreciate it.” -Erika Garcia
