Dear Friends,
I am reaching out with a heartfelt plea to support a remarkable 74-year-old woman who has devoted her life to hard work and self-sufficiency. Like many in California, she encountered unforeseen challenges last year. She lost her job, exhausted her unemployment insurance and savings, and endured a devastating car accident after moving to Oregon, leaving her without transportation.
Please Note: The donations previously shown on this page were received 3-4 months ago and have since been used to ensure she has shelter. The need for assistance continues as she searches for affordable housing or a remote job that can provide enough income to secure stable housing.
In the coming weeks, she faces the imminent threat of homelessness, along with her two beloved cats, who have been her steadfast companions. Due to their age, these cats cannot be rehomed and may face the tragic possibility of euthanasia if placed in a shelter. This resilient woman is doing everything possible to rebuild her life, and I am committed to helping her regain stability.
She is actively seeking low-cost senior housing through HUD Section 8 and various housing sites across Oregon and Northern California. With a limited budget of $500/month for shared accommodations, options are scarce. She diligently searches daily for remote writing, editing, and proofreading positions on numerous job boards to supplement her current income. With over 20 years of experience in technical documentation in Silicon Valley, she is highly qualified.
Please show your support for this GoFundMe campaign to prevent this woman from becoming homeless. Your generosity can make a life-changing difference.
Thank you for your compassion and assistance.
