Hi, my name is Miranda and I’m the owner of The Lice Angels in Corpus Christi, Texas.

I am starting this fundraiser for a single father and his precious daughter who have touched my heart in a way I will never forget.

This little girl comes into my clinic with the biggest smile every single time, even though she and her daddy are currently living at the Salvation Army. They ride the bus across town every day. He takes her to school, doctors appointments, dentist visits and she has never missed a day of school. She has no mother in her life, but her dad shows up for her in every way he possibly can.

Even with the hardships they’re facing, their bond is unbreakable.

You can feel the love between them the second they walk in. She adores her daddy. And he fights every single day to make sure she’s safe, clean, cared for, and loved.

Our community has already stepped up with Thanksgiving meals, donated clothing, shoes, snacks, money and H-E-B gift cards and the gratitude this little girl shows would bring anyone to tears.

But with Christmas coming, I want to go above and beyond for them.

No child should have to live in a shelter during the holidays.

This sweet girl deserves her own bedroom.

She deserves stability, warmth, comfort, and a place she can finally call home.

My goal is to help this father secure an apartment, cover their deposit and first month’s rent, help him get necessities, and give this little girl a Christmas she will never forget. This is not a family looking for handouts — this is a father doing everything right while life continues to knock him down.
