Cancer is a sneaky SOB that can affect anybody at any time. You have either been affected by it or know someone close to you that has.
Brenda Anderson is a Registered Nurse that has spent most of her 36-year career in the emergency room. She moved to Arizona to enjoy the warmer climate and to spend more time outdoors. During her off time from the emergency room, you can find her taking road trips with her husband of 30-years on the motorcycle. She is a crazy vegan that is caring, honest, and the best person to have on your side during an intense shift in the ER.
About 2 months ago it all started with an intense pain in her clavicle area. After a visit with the doctor, Xray’s were ordered, then a CT which was followed by a PET scan. Cancer was the diagnosis. A lung biopsy confirmed the worst, stage 4 adenocarcinoma.
In the next few weeks, a port will be placed, MRI completed, and 1st round of chemo treatment. All the funds raised here will help go towards medical expenses. Brenda does not qualify for FMLA at work due to not meeting the length of employment. Which means once PTO runs out, she will need to cover the cost of insurance.
Anything at this time would help. Some kind words, stories of the time spent with her, and of course donations.
