Give a Feral Cat a Chance for a Better Life

My name is Robert/Bob.

I am asking for help. Not for me... but for a cat in need. Last week, he was neutered, chipped, ear clipped, got shots, and had a super ear flushing...

HE NEEDS MORE!!!

He is feral. He has received this wonderful help so far through a wonderful group called Spay n Stay, Beach Park, Illinois, and a super veterinarian, 4PAWS of Libertyville, Illinois.

They are working together to do the major things needed after a trap and release program between the two.

He (to be named soon by suggestions from Facebook friends) is now in my basement. He has an incredible place to rest, recover, and eat wonderful foods until June 11.

I have him scheduled for a MASSIVE dental and ear care. This poor creature needs 3 of 4 broken in half canines removed, and several other teeth. He also has had an ear infection for well over a year... as I have fed him and others throughout this last year and more.

His face has always looked swollen as I look out at him through my windows, as he is in the back neighborhood cat area I have set up.

Well, we now know why his face looks so swollen... massive ear AND mouth issues.

I am asking for help so I can help this beautiful boy, 6-8 years old estimated, before I return him to the community as planned post-neuter and chipping, etc.

I WILL NOT return him to resume his life without this relief. I cannot in my heart.

The great thing is... after all this, the first surgery to neuter, chip, shots, etc., he is my neighborhood cat. It's been over a year, and my food and water are always there. He will be around, and I will be able to keep track of him still post-second surgery.

After this fix-up on the 11th, he will come back home with me. I will keep him in my basement with the best foods and care for a few days at least.

Then I will open the basement door and let him casually walk out of the house and out to freedom.

Only for the first time in years maybe... he will have a fixed mouth, ears, no more baby-making, microchip... the list goes on.

Lastly, yes, he is a feral cat, but he has a soul. He deserves a better existence than what he has had.

Your small (or not so small, hopefully) donation can help a living creature live better and longer.

Along with my aftercare, he WILL live a quality, much-improved life.

Thank you for reading our story. Thank you for considering donating.

Thank you for sharing this... my first GoFundMe.
